INTRODUCTION

Via the International Service Avenue, Rotarians strive for the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.  International Service Projects are designed to meet the humanitarian needs of people in many lands, with particular emphasis on the most underprivileged children and families in developing countries. 

 

INTERNATIONAL SERVICES COMMITTEE MISSION

The mission of the Rotary Club of Woodland Hills International Services Committee is to promote the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a series of projects leveraging a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

 

Projects completed by this committee will be focused on encompassing actions taken to expand Rotary's humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world peace via relevant contributions focused on health, education, and the environment.

 

INTERNATIONAL SERVICES COMMITTEE GOALS

  • To complete projects that provide specific assistance within our stated mission
  • To make a positive impact in the lives of children and families in developing countries
  • To expand Rotarian’s knowledge of global issues and improve understanding of international needs and issues
  • To provide Rotarians with hands-on opportunities to make an impact in the International community
  • To promote Rotary’s goodwill and work in the global community
  • To partner with another local Rotary club wherever possible

 WHRC Travels to Door of Faith Orphanage in Baja for a Day of Service ...

 

31 people in 9 cars convoy to Baja Mexico delivering food, toys, sports uniforms, and a 1,000.00 Costco card.

 

We BBQ'd lunch for the kids and staff and toured the site searching for potential projects!
